Tourville Project in Saint-Germain-en-Laye

This two-story house has been completely renovated, with an addition built above the parents’ suite. The entryway was relocated to create a dedicated space for the parents, including a bedroom, a shower room, and a laundry room, set apart from the rest of the ground floor for greater privacy. The project was carried out in two phases: first, the renovation of the ground floor and the first floor, followed by the addition of the extension.

The goal was to preserve the home’s authenticity as much as possible: the living room fireplace was replaced with a contemporary model that harmonizes with the carefully restored natural stone wall in the living room. The ground floor features solid oak parquet flooring laid in a herringbone pattern, accented with cement-tile-effect tiles.

Upstairs, a mezzanine was built above the cathedral-style entryway, creating additional space for storage or an office. The three children’s bedrooms are also located on this floor, one of which is in the addition and includes an en suite shower room.

A glass-enclosed office and a half-bath complete this floor.

For this project, we opted for a custom-made staircase to meet our clients’ expectations.

This elegant staircase is brand-new without looking like it: our partner craftsman knows how to give the materials an antique charm, and he selects only the highest-quality materials.

This ensures a beautiful, sturdy staircase that will stand the test of time.
