We worked to enhance the existing architecture by adding modern touches, using sustainable materials, and incorporating creative design solutions.

The apartment is spread over two levels. The challenge with this apartment was to redesign the ground floor and create new spaces in the attic.
On the ground floor, we installed an open-concept kitchen that flows into the living room. The existing bathroom was removed to make way for a half-bath and a laundry room. The bedroom was transformed into a master suite with the addition of a walk-in closet and the creation of a space that could accommodate a future bathroom. Then, access to the attic was created from the living room. Upstairs, the attic space was converted into a child’s bedroom and a bathroom.
What could be better than a custom-made staircase? For this project, we designed the staircase for this family with the help of their contractors.
The staircase is made of beech and recycled wood. The railing features a design made from recycled slats. We coordinated the entire look with chairs from Kartell, which—thanks to their design and materials—are very airy and lightweight.
The overall effect is ultra-contemporary.
